From January 4^th to 29^th, nominations are open for the NAITSA 2010 General Elections. The available positions are:

• President
• Vice President Academic
• Vice President Campus Life
• Vice President External

These are all full-time positions with salary and benefits, paid tuition, and numerous career opportunities.

All it takes to apply is to be a passing student in a full-time program.

As your student-financed restaurant and lounge, The Nest strives to offer quality food and service to NAIT students, at the lowest costs possible.

That´s why when we heard some questions from students about our pricing, we responded immediately with a new menu featuring a bounty of delicious, low-cost options and specials, such as Nooner Pizzas and lunchtime Soup and Sandwich combos for just $7.00. Budget friendly pastas, personal sized poutine, nachos and side sized gourmet salads are some other tempting dishes. Need some food, fun and relaxation after classes? There´s also cheap wing, dry rib and calamari nights each week. You can even host an event (big or small) at the Nest for you and your classmates; just speak to Margot or Michelle!

What’s happening in January?

Join us for spring break in Cancun, Mexico

For Spring Break this year, we’re heading to sunny, sandy, Cancun! The package includes roundtrip airfare, 7 nights accommodation at the all-inclusive Oasis Resort (meals and drinks at the hotel are included), airport transportation, a welcome reception, and daily hospitality and activities.

January events

Speed Dating at The Nest: January 12th, 5:00 pm

We´re still looking for a few more single ladies to sign up in advance at the Nest or the NAITSA office and participate in our annual speed dating event. Every year, about 30 students try their luck at meeting new people and potential dates, with the help of a 3-minute time limit and maybe a few drinks for courage.

We will have a chocolate fountain, fruit, and other treats for participants, and one lucky student will win a pair of tickets to the Oilers vs San Jose game on March 21st, just for participating!

Bachelor/Bachelorette at The Nest: January 15th, 4:30 pm

Inspired by the game show "the Dating Game," we´re hosting a welcome back winter edition of Bachelor/Bachelorette that is sure to be a hilarious good time, with romantic possibilities!

If you´d like to sign up to be a contestant in our Bachelor/Bachelorette game show at The Nest, sign up in advance with a photo at the Nest or the NAITSA office. Winners will get a double date with the Bachelor/Bachelorette including a limo ride and dinner!

If you´re too shy to get on stage, there will also be drink specials ($3.00 beer and $4.00 hiballs) to enjoy as you sit in the audience, and a special game of Red Light/Green Light after the show!
